SLED C.W.P Course
This is the complimentary concealed weapons course provided by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. Completing this course is a prerequisite for applying for your Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP).
Course Goals
Safety
You will gain comprehensive knowledge of general firearms safety, encompassing aspects such as proper storage, operation, and guidelines for open carrying.
Shooting Fundamentals
You will acquire the foundational principles of pistol shooting and gain the knowledge to safely operate your firearm for self-defense purposes.
The Law
In this course, you will gain a thorough understanding of the legal parameters for carrying your firearm, the correct procedures for transporting, and most importantly, the laws related to self-defense in South.
